Architecture • Heritage • Modernism
Tracing the footsteps of the father of modern architecture through two world heritage centers in India and Switzerland.
"Architecture is the learned game, correct and magnificent, of forms assembled in the light."
— Charles-Édouard Jeanneret (Le Corbusier)
Located in Sector 19B, this historic museum occupies the building that was formerly Le Corbusier's architect's office. This is where the vision for the city of Chandigarh was born.
The building is not just a museum, but a silent witness to where Le Corbusier's team designed the first modern urban plan in post-independence India. Our collection includes:
A final masterpiece. Distinct from his signature Brutalist concrete style, this Pavilion is a unique exploration in prefabricated steel structure, glass, and primary colored enamel panels.
Located on the shores of Lake Zurich, the building was designed as a "Gesamtkunstwerk" (total work of art) reflecting the harmony between architecture, life, and art.
Currently managed by the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich. The museum operates seasonally and is currently CLOSED for the winter season.
Will reopen for the 2026 season on April 17, 2026.
