THE FINE ARTS

OIL PAINTINGS

Le Corbusier painted his first oil painting in 1918 at the age of 31. During the first period of his creative work which lasted until 1927 and is known as Purism, objects of daily use such as glasses, bottles, books, pipes and violins were depicted exclusively. Up until 1927 the artist signed his pictures Jeanneret, after that date he used the pseudonym Le Corbusier.
